At a glance

You can delete account data from Postiz two ways: disconnect inside the app (self-service, instant) or email data@cloaked.agency with your account details.

Tokens are removed immediately. Full purge within 30 calendar days.

Your deletion rights

You may request deletion of any data tied to a social account connected through our Postiz instance at postiz.cloaked.agency. This page documents both methods available.

Method 1 — Self-service disconnect

An authorized Postiz operator can disconnect a connected account from within the Postiz UI:

  1. Sign in to Postiz.
  2. Open Integrations → Social.
  3. Locate the connected account and click Disconnect.

Effect

OAuth tokens are removed immediately. Associated metadata (profile, scheduled posts, analytics snapshots) is scheduled for purge and fully deleted within 30 calendar days.

Method 2 — Email request

If you cannot access Postiz directly — for example, you own a social account connected by an operator on your behalf, or you are an end user of a cloaked.agency customer whose content may have passed through our Postiz instance — email us:

Subject: Postiz Data Deletion Request

Please include: the social platform (Meta / Instagram / Facebook / Threads / TikTok / X / etc.), the handle or account name, and your relationship to the account (owner, authorized representative, affected end user).

We respond within 5 business days and complete the full purge within 30 calendar days of receipt.

What gets deleted

  • OAuth access and refresh tokens.
  • Account metadata pulled during OAuth (profile, scopes, Page / business account lists).
  • Content scheduled or published through Postiz on behalf of the account, including media copies held on our server.
  • Engagement analytics snapshots pulled from the platform.
  • Operator audit records tied specifically to the account.

What this request cannot delete

Content that has already been published to a social platform (Meta / Instagram / Facebook / Threads / TikTok / X) lives on that platform’s servers and is governed by that platform’s policies. To remove published posts, delete them inside the platform itself or use the platform’s own data deletion process. We cannot delete content from platforms we do not operate.

Automated callback

Meta’s app review requires a data-deletion callback URL. While the Postiz deployment is finalizing, the email workflow above is the authoritative process. Once the automated callback is exposed, it will live at https://postiz.cloaked.agency/api/data-deletion and this page will be updated with the flow diagram. The email workflow will remain available indefinitely as a fallback.

Confirmation

When your request completes, we send confirmation to the email on file, including:

  • The account identifier that was deleted.
  • The date the purge finished.
  • A reference ID you can cite if you need to follow up or verify removal.
